In the session of Congress, the United States passed a bill to ban TIKTOK unless the Chinese company BYTEDANCE gives its shares to the U.S. This has raised concerns throughout the country. Over 170 million Americans are using TikTok. However, many U.S. lawmakers see TikTok as a security threat that the Chinese government may use the data for manipulation. Many consider it as a move to sensor the free voices primarily about ongoing conflicts between Israel and Palestine and also the Ukraine war of which the public of the US is unhappy with the policies of Biden’s regime. However, such actions of banning free speech from the state that is advocating liberal policies throughout the world are raising concerns. Adopting such policies will only serve the interests of undemocratic forces.
